Charlotte’s graduation collection Dorian (Fall Winter 2019) takes an emotional and modern approach of the dandyism that highlights the value of traditional Victorian tailoring. Inspired by the journey of Dorian Gray in Oscar Wilde’s Novel, the collection captures the conflict of inhuman perfection and self destruction.
Exclusively tailored pieces with an almost static silhouette stand in contrast to fluent, draped silk blouses. By combining clear and defined silhouettes and elegant fabrics with a feminine, sensual touch, the collection speaks to modern women that value quality and individualism. The absence of color and elegant shades of matt and shiny blue tones is disrupted by decadent looking golden scratches that reflect the structure of wounds and scratches.
